What's your return/refund policy?
We want you to be satisfied with your wine purchase. If you are dissatisfied with any product you receive from us, email us at info@vinocheepo.com within 30 days of delivery. We will work with you to resolve the problem to your complete satisfaction. Alcohol shipping laws do not allow for us to accept returns.

Shipping Policy

What are the shipping costs?

Shipping costs are variable based on the number of bottles ordered. Exact costs will be noted in your cart before checkout.

Wine Club orders will always ship for free!

Note: Shipping to Hawaii includes extra shipping costs.

Where do you ship to?

Our shipping partner services all but the following states: AR, UT, AL, MS, RI, DE, ME.

Note: We reserve the right to change this list at any time, and if this happens you will be notified that your order was canceled and issued a refund.

How long will it take to get my order?

Wines are shipped within 1-3 business days after your order.

Shipping times vary, but are typically 2-5 business days depending on the location in the US. You will get tracking information in your confirmation email after the label is printed. Please note that the delivery date is an estimate, and may change based on factors out of our control.

Note: Due to COVID-19, our retailers and shipping partners are seeing extra pressure on their distribution network. Most orders placed during the business week are planned to ship within 1-3 days of ordering. All weekend orders will begin processing on Monday, and it may take 1-3 business days to ship as well.

What shipping carriers do you use?

UPS is our preferred carrier.

Do I need to be there to sign?

Someone 21 or older must be present to accept and sign for the wine. It is the responsibility of the retailer and any delivery provider they use to verify identification and age, and to determine whether it is otherwise safe and appropriate to furnish you with alcohol. They may require a valid form of photo identification with birthdate and a signed acknowledgment confirming
acceptance at the time of pick-up or delivery. If they cannot verify your age or identity, if you appear intoxicated, or if the situation is otherwise unsafe or inappropriate, they may refuse to furnish you with alcohol. Alcohol cannot be left unattended.

Our shippers will try up to three times to get your wine to you, but if you miss your three delivery attempts and your box is sent back to us, you'll be charged for the return shipping and restocking fee. The fee is equivalent to the standard shipping price based on the number of bottles purchased, to cover the cost of the wine shipping back to our warehouse. These fees are as follows:

  • 1-3 bottles: $14.95

  • 4-6 bottles: $24.95

  • 7-9 bottles: $34.95

  • 10-12 bottles: $39.95

  • 13+ bottles: $44.95

How can I set my order for pickup?

We get a lot of questions from folks asking how to set a package up for pickup. We highly recommend doing this, especially if you're not sure you'll be home to sign for the delivery. Setting the package for pick up ensures that you'll get your package delivered safely. There's usually tons of options nearby to do this!

Do you ship wine in the summer?

Our goal is to ensure that every package that gets shipped is delivered quickly and in perfect condition.

It is extremely rare that wines arrive heat or cold damaged. However, it can happen, particularly when working with wines with no additives (but for maybe a small dose of sulfur). Evidence of weather-related damage may include protruding corks, seepage, etc.

In inclement weather (i.e. extreme heat or extreme cold), we recommend delaying your purchase until the weather cools down in your area. If there is inclement weather in our warehouse location, we will delay shipping until the weather is more favorable for shipping wine.

We do offer the following options for customers who wish to take extra precautions for the shipment of their product:

  • Expedited shipping - please choose "Next-Day PM" as a shipping option if you would prefer your wine to be delivered via air rather than trucked. This greatly reduces the amount of time in transit and is the best option for those wishing to minimize risk of damage.
  • Ice packs - we can add two ice packs to your package for an additional $5 fee. Please note that ice packs do warm up quickly and will not be cold on delivery. They simply cool down the bottles for transit and help insulate the box.

If there is visible evidence of weather-related damage as specified above, please reach out to us at info@vinocheepo.com and we will work with you to get your issue resolved as quickly as possible.

Please note that the customer assumes all risk of the product at purchase. We are not a shipping company and have about as much control over FedEx/UPS as you do. If you are concerned about weather-related damage, our first recommendation is always going to be to delay your purchase until your are more comfortable with the temps in your area.

How does expedited shipping work?

With expedited shipping your wines will be shipped with ice packs via FedEx Next-Day PM on a plane to the closest hub where it will be delivered via a final mile delivery truck.

NOTE: Expedited shipping does not deliver on weekends, and does not include processing time.
